Earthy Developments acted as Principal Contractor on this schedule of dilapidations project, completed across two adjoining commercial units in 2024.

The works began with the safe removal of the existing asbestos roofs, which were replaced with new Kingspan KS1000RW 100mm insulated roof panels to improve both performance and appearance.

Internally, both units underwent a full strip out, including the removal of partition walls, floor coverings, and a mezzanine structure within Unit 2. In Unit 1, our steel subcontractor strengthened the existing mezzanine to ensure it was structurally suitable to support a new upstairs seating area.

Externally, we installed new larch timber cladding, managed the installation of new glazed frontages, and arranged for the entire unit block to be primed and decorated, creating a clean and modern finish throughout.

This project is another great example of Earthy Developments delivering comprehensive refurbishment works as Principal Contractor, coordinating multiple trades and transforming tired commercial spaces into attractive retail units ready for occupation. Since completion, we’ve even had the pleasure of enjoying coffees in both of the businesses that now call the units home.
