Roofing Works

We have a wealth of experience in the following types of roofing. No matter what material your project requires we can deliver high-quality results.

Tiling

Roof tiles are designed mainly to keep out rain, and are traditionally made from locally available materials such as terracotta or slate. Modern materials such as concrete, metal and plastic are also used.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF TILE ROOFING?

Low maintenance:

Tiles are low maintenance. Tile is very tough and difficult to damage, so it’s unlikely that you’ll need to do any repairs unless there is any hard impact damage.

Long-lasting:

Tiles are long lasting. If they’re set up and preserved properly they can last for 50 years.

Fire resistant:

Tiles are fire resistant. This will reduce the damage that a fire could cause to your home.

Versatile:

Tiles are versatile. They’re available in a range of shapes and colours. Many property owners utilise tiles to create appealing patterns on their roofs. Tiles can likewise be made to resemble other materials, like wood.

Felt Roofing

This roofing material is widely installed on flat roofs, consisting of two to three layers of felt sheet forming a dense and impenetrable barrier. It is then topped with waterproof materials, like bitumen, to prevent any ingress of moisture. This method of layering allows us to ensure that the roof is completely waterproof.
It is a popular and reliable roofing material, due to its highly durable nature, offering strong water and wind resistance for a number of years and can be applied to most types of surfaces, whether flat, pitched or curved.

Single Ply Membrane

Single-ply is wide width sheeting meant for low slope roofs. When properly installed, single-ply roofing systems offer an inherent advantage over traditional materials due to their high tensile strength, flexibility, and high durability.
The process of this installation uses cold-applied adhesive or hot air, this application process allows the systems to be applied onto most surfaces that would normally be limited by the use of heat, including timber and concrete. Single Ply roofing systems are extremely flexible and can be incorporated using insulation to upgrade thermal performance.
These systems often come with material backed guarantees, to ensure your flat roofs are watertight for up to 35 Years.

Liquid Plastic

Liquid plastic roofing is a liquid (often based on polyurethane, natural bitumen or artificial polyester) that can be poured over your existing roof to create a waterproof coating.

What are the benefits?

Long-lasting: Liquid plastic roofing can last up to 30 years depending on the environment. This makes it a reliable, durable waterproof membrane.

Cost-effective: It can be applied to a whole roof or just to individual sections. This means that if you have several issues with your roof, it can sometimes be used in place of multiple more expensive repair jobs.

Safety: Liquid plastic roofing can be applied to roofs cold. This reduces the risk of causing fires while it’s being installed. This is especially true in comparison with other roofing materials like felt or asphalt.

Ease of application: Liquid plastic roofing is simple to apply to even on the most difficult-to-access and oddly-shaped roofs.

Not disruptive: Installation can be carried out without causing any disruption to the inhabitants of a property.

Roof Lights

Why install a roof light?

Adding natural light (and solar heating) to your spaces

- The biggest benefit of roof lights is how they let natural light into your space. And with that light comes solar heat.

Why does that matter to you?

-Natural light is known to improve mood and even help with performance in workplaces. And heating your  with sunlight can save on heating costs during the chilly seasons.

- Similar to adding mirrors on the walls, skylights can make a room “feel bigger” and more spacious. Plus, you can get a view of night sky or nature during the day.

Did you know you can raise a roof light?

This is achieved by cutting through the existing membrane increasing the upstands and reinstating the roof light as per building regulations.

Upstands are often raised when the roof light is having issues with leaking or condensation. Raising them provides resilience against rain and standing water. The pitch allows water to run off the roof and protects it should the skylight need to be repaired or replaced. They also maximise thermal performance and airtightness.
