Why install a roof light?

Adding natural light (and solar heating) to your spaces

- The biggest benefit of roof lights is how they let natural light into your space. And with that light comes solar heat.

-Natural light is known to improve mood and even help with performance in workplaces. And heating your  with sunlight can save on heating costs during the chilly seasons.

- Similar to adding mirrors on the walls, skylights can make a room “feel bigger” and more spacious. Plus, you can get a view of night sky or nature during the day.

Did you know you can raise a roof light?

This is achieved by cutting through the existing membrane increasing the upstands and reinstating the roof light as per building regulations.

Upstands are often raised when the roof light is having issues with leaking or condensation. Raising them provides resilience against rain and standing water. The pitch allows water to run off the roof and protects it should the skylight need to be repaired or replaced. They also maximise thermal performance and airtightness.
